In honor of Thanksgiving and all of the amazing food we hope all of you will be enjoying, we will NOT be having any menu specials this week. We will be closed on Thursday to observe the holiday with our families. We hope each of you gets to spend time with the people you love the most! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!! Otherwise, we will be open on Tuesday the 20th, Wednesday the 21st, Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th during normal business hours...6ish AM until 2:00 PM. We look forward to seeing familiar faces who have come home for the holiday!!

We will REOPEN tomorrow, Tuesday, October 30th. We will not be featuring any specials this week, but look forward to sharing some of our old favorites with all of you! We want to thank all of you again for all of your support and prayers over the weekend!! We saw an ortho doctor today. Alison's left wrist is in a brace. She cannot use it for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Therefore, she will be wheelchair bound and unable to move herself in the wheelchair for that period of time. The heel is a different story. A decision about surgery will not be made for at least another week...due to the severe swelling associated with this type of fracture, etc. Regardless, it will be a minimum of 3 MONTHS before she can put ANY weight on that foot. In the meantime, the foot has been resplinted to allow more room for swelling and we will be back at the ortho next Monday. Again, thank you so much for your kinds words. It made an uncomfortable weekend much more bearable!!!
UPDATE: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT AND WELL WISHES!! WE ARE HUMBLED BY THE SHOW OF CONCERN FOR OUR FAMILY! ALISON FELL LAST NIGHT AND BROKE HER WRIST AND SEVERELY FRACTURED HER RIGHT HEEL. SHE HAS EXTREMELY LIMITED MOBILITY AND HAS A LONG RECOVERY AHEAD...BUT SHE IS FEELING VERY BLESSED TO HAVE SO MANY POSITVE THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS HEADED HER WAY!! The Grill Shop will be closed today, Saturday, October 27th, due to a family emergency. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday!!!
Tomorrow night, Friday, October 26th, we are once again participating in BMBA's Corks for a Cause from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. This month is hosted by and benefits The Foundation for Boyertown Education. Members of the Foundation's Board will be on hand at the shop to pour the wine and chat about their foundation. In addition, they will be awarding two $250 library grants during two separate drawings. Results will be posted on FB during the event. We will be offering a Grilled Cheese Florentine and Mascato pairing during the event. The grilled cheese features Cabot Cheddar Tomato Basil Cheese, spinach and garlic. The wine is a personal favorite for Doc and Alison. In addition to our normal Saturday hours, we will close at 2 PM and re-open at 6 PM! We will remain open until the last marchers pass the shop! We hope to see you there!!! The Grill Shop will be participating in Boyertown's Pickfest on Saturday, October 13th. We will be serving hot dogs, burgers, chicken pot pie and drinks in the parking lot across from Durango's from 12 noon until 6 PM. In addition, the shop will remain open until 4 PM that day. We hope to see you!!

On Friday, September 28th, The Grill Shop will participate in BMBA’s Corks for a Cause from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM!! We have been hard at work researching an appropriate wine pairing for with our Everything Dog and this is what we have found… Did you know that our Everything Dog is traditionally known as a Coney Island Dog? This version of the chili dog actually doesn’t have much to do with Coney Island itself. It originated instead at a restaurant called Todoroff’s Coney Island in Jackson, Michigan, in 1914, where Mr. Todoroff apparently sold 17,000,000 of the things over the next 31 years. This Detroit style Coney has a bean-less chili-esque ground beef sauce, raw onions and mustard. Ketchup simply is not tolerated. On-line resources recommend you try a red that’s a bit lighter bodied, or even a substantial rosé. One source specifically suggested a glass of Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero. With all of that said, we have selected Valtonar Ribera Del Duero Joven Red 2015, a Chairman’s Selection wine for you to sip with your sample of our Everything Dog. What could be better than a Friday night spent sampling food and wine while benefitting the BMBA and the United Way?! We hope to see you there!!
